Accessibility Statement

The University of Greifswald endeavours to design all its web pages in accordance with Section 13 of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Disability Equality Act (LBGG MV) in such a way that they can, in principle, be used without restriction by people with disabilities or impairments, as stipulated in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Regulation on Accessible Information Technology (BITVO MV).

Status of compliance with requirements

The “RRR2025” website is currently being revised. As part of this process, the requirements of Section 13 of the LBGG MV are being reviewed and implemented.

Content that is not accessible includes:

  • Not all documents are available in an accessible version.
  • Not all images, graphics, maps and audiovisual content are provided with alternative text. Heading hierarchies are not always adhered to.
  • There are currently no or incomplete full-text alternatives or subtitles available for embedded videos.
  • The contrast between text and control elements is sometimes inadequate.
  • Some tables are incorrectly marked up.
  • Lists occasionally consist of only one entry or are not correctly marked up.
  • No information is provided in German Sign Language or Plain Language.

Reasons for the shortcomings

The website is complex and exceptionally extensive. It is created and maintained with limited resources. As a result, editorial oversights regarding accessibility cannot be entirely avoided.

Due to the size of the video archive, the provision of videos with audio transcripts has so far only been possible to a limited extent.
